Bee Balm — a Haiku

Spiky red bee balm
Nibbled down to naked stalks
Who stole the beauty?

The bee balm is abundant this year.

My husband decided to transplant some to a newly-weeded corner of the property. Within a day, all but two of the blossoms were stolen.

Since I like the bunnies and chipmunks and deer,  I’m going to blame this one on the woodchucks, even though I haven’t seen any in that area.
